As I was applying another coat of Blitz tonight, I noticed a very long and deep scratch on my hood, it looks to be a key job to me. I used many different scratch removers with the PC but nothing seems to take it out. Can I get some ideas on what I should do? Thanks :(

If it`s as deep as you say there might not be much that can be done. Some touch-up paint or a repaint might be the only solution. Sorry for the bad news :(.

Try a mix of corn starch and any glaze you have.

I used Omega glaze.

I did this a few weeks ago on some metal deep

scratches and it worked out well. Can`t see affected area.

Just keep rubbing[circular] a small test section to see if it works.

After a few minutes hopefully your paint will move

into the scratch valley. It will look like nothing is happening

then all of the sudden the paint will seem to melt and

roll over the scratch.

Patience is the key.

Wow, that sounds incredible. How does it work? Does the corn starch and glaze melt the paint or something?

Yes it does in fact. Pros call it " moving the paint ".

The prolonged friction works the surface to a certain

temperature, then like boiling water in a pot after

a few minutes the water all of the sudden starts to boil.

But be carefull. Back off if you see any strange happenings

in the paint work. Small section at a time is key [half dollar].

The key marks were at the top right section of my Avatar.

Hope this helps.

Could you tell me how to properly mix the corn starch with the glaze, I plan on mixing it with 3M IHG. Thanks ;)
