Hey guys,

Here is my latest detail job I did. I detail cars part-time while I attend college and work at a grocery store. I almost shocked myself on this one. The results speak for themselves:

Information on car:

1995 Satrun SW2 station wagon

Color: Green

Mileage: 160,000 miles!

The process:

1. Wash with Dawn to strip off wax (if any left)

2. Mothers claybar system

3. Mothers carnuba cleaner wax

4. 3M Imperial Hand Glaze

5. Meguiars Polish

6. Mothers Pure Carnuba wax

7. Zaino Gloss enhancer

Wasn`t sure to use both glaze and polish, so I tried it and it worked well together!

Now, the after pictures...

Looks great. FYI the IHG and Meguiars polish are redundant. They both serve the same purpose, and do the same thing.

Ok thanks. I haven`t used the glaze much because its a pain to get off by hand. But since I bought a orbital buffer, I thought what they hey....since it didn`t take too much time to buff off it wouldn`t hurt to try both.

Your picture #364 is outstanding. It has super reflextions of the house, sidewalk and bottles on the sidewalk. The lighting does not wash out the mirror images. Great job on the car and outstanding picture to show it off.

I don`t know what you make working in the grocery store, but I bet you can make tons more doing more cars.

Congrates!!!! Fred

Thanks everyone for the positive comments.

Fred....I know I could make more doing this. I have been trying to get a small business going. Me and one of my friends, but it seems people aren`t really that interested around this area. This is evident in the condition their cars are in. Oh well, I must stick to the supermarket to pay the bills for now.

Also, this car was parked out on a street in Newark, NJ where the guy lived. Anyone from NJ knows this is a rotten area. So the condition the car was brought back to was unbelievable considering the area the car was in and mileage. (160,000).

Nice job, car looks fantastic!

One question though, did the Zaino Z6 spray not cause a mess on a carnauba finish? I think you`d be much better off with a spray meant for carnauba. Generally, polymer sprays and carnaubas don`t mix too well, but if it worked for you, good deal!
