Got various pics from the 2002 Concours d`Elegance this year. Jaguar was the featured marque and Jag even brought some rare and expensive cars in.

First up.....Jaguar D-Type

Not sure what model this Jag is. It`s toally un-restored and was brought to the event by Jag......in a trailer of course. ;)

My favorite of the show, a 1959 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I. Amazing restoration, this car could have easily won best in class.

It`s an XKSS, a short nosed D-Type tamed for civilian use. It was a street version of the race car that was in production in 1955 (I think) but tragedy struck and there was a great Coventry factory fire and all the pressings and machines were destroyed so the cars were never to be produced again. They are very rare.

I drove one once. Pretty cool. Noisy as heck!

Thanks for the info Brad. I figured it was pretty rare, the car is owned by Jaguar. The D-type was sitting right next to it, they also had a XJ220.

That Phantom V Limo brings back some memories. Do you remember over a year or so ago, I had a 1966 version for sale after I had completed a full restoration & detail job. Its still in the archive section. Shame I sold it, but the money was sure handy.

That one you saw looks terriffic. Really nice to see one still looking crisp than ever.
