The UPS man just dropped off my PC, ordered yesterday, got it today. I got the PC from Coastal Tools. Do I remove the 5" weight from the PC and put on the 6"? I have no clue how to set this up.

BTW, what speed do you guys use for applying Z, Klasse, SMR, etc?

If your are using the foam pad that comes with the pc the 5 counterweight is fine. However if you are using the CMA pads or the like which are 6" with a velcro backing plate you should use the 6 counterweight or you will get excessive vibration.

to use the backing plate which came with the costal tools kit (assuming this is what you ordered) you need to put on the 6" counterweight.

Ok I think I get it now :)

So I don`t use the foam, fluffy pad and use the backing plate instead?

is the 6" counter weight comes with the porter cable or you have to order separately?

The weight of the foam pad doesn`t matter much. The backing plate is what weighs the most and this is what the counterweight wants to counterbalance.

There are BOTH 5" and 6" velcro backing plates. Measure yours, choose the weight accordingly.
