Thanks a lot.

@KenLee

Where did you get Klasse from , if I may ask, your sig says you`re from Belgium ? I couldn`t find Klasse here in Germany, since it`s suppose to be produced in Germany, but not avail in the market.

Nice pics Deckard. Your bimmer has always been one of my personal favorites, I love the chrome accents on the door handles and on the rest of the car. It really makes it stand out without being too flashy. :xyxthumbs

Thanks SL.

For better results and a good prep, I`ve searched the whole Europe for a PC, but no avail.

Finally, I`ve found a random orbital from Festo (a german brand) which is about $390, lots of $$$, but it`s a state-of-the-art machine. It`s the first thing in my must-have-buy list :)

Deckard,

I buy products in the US. I live in Belgiumbut I receive US postal service and can order via internet at US shipping rates.

I have some product available for trade if you are interested.

You know, I believe you can obtain a US spec PC for a lot less money if you can find someone to ship it to you.

I`m sure you`ve read the posts where people have purchased PC`s here in the states for US$109 plus sales tax. I went to www.ups.com and calculated shipping costs from the US to Hamburg and it came out to US$113 for UPS Expedited (5 days) shipping and US$122 for Express (1-2 days) shipping. That`s about half price of the buffer you found at home.

Of course a US buffer runs on 110VAC so you will need an adapter. But it still may be worth it to save $100+.

For $390 you can get a PC, a bunch of pads, a variety of polishes, more Zaino, etc etc.........

bretfraz,

thanks for the heads up.

I do have some friends in the USA. I may get in touch with them. The calculation you made makes sense. And with $100 I can order some more stuff to be used with the PC :D

Thanks again.

BTW, Happy Birthday !

Deckard,

to run the 110V appliances here in Europe you will need a transformer (not simply an adapter).

depending on the wattage of the appliance youwill need a specific size Transformer. A 300W transformers usually runs between $120-$150 US Dollars. You can buy used ones alsobut you will run the risk of it not meeting the standards. you`re risk.

Hi, Deckard,

For a PC you need a transformer that has a 500VA performance (120Volt x 3.7Amp = 444VA , but standart is 500VA)

I called for pricing here (Gent) and such a transfo would cost me 290€!!!.:scared

This week-end I saw a random orbital sander-polisher from Bosh , about 190€ with velcro and one white buffing-waxing pad.

I`m gaining info on that one.

Great beamer , and thanks again for introducing me to the Z-sytem.:xyxthumbs
