Hi,

I`m a long time Zaino user. Now I want to switch to other polish and wax (Autoglym) where exterior plastic trim care is required. (according to Autopia archive)

Has anyone used tape to cover the trim ? If so, what kind ? And how safe is it to use ? Does the tape leave a sticky surface after removing ?

Thanks in advance.

I guess you have to decide what will take longer, taping off the trim or cleaning the trim afterwards. If you were going to tape off your trim you should use the blue painter`s tape. The adheasion level is lower than masking tape and doesn`t leave a gummy residue that regular masking tape can.

Autoglym say that their bumper cleaner will remove the Super Resin Polish, maybe other products will do the same. An alternative method might be to apply a plastic cleaner/lotion first and leave it on whilst you apply the Super Resin.
