Hi everyone. :) I have done the search to find an answer to my question but no luck. I have found how to remove Rain-X from windshield. How does one remove completely the wiper lines(smears) from the windshield? Naptha? Please help. :D

Guess My Name, only use Naptha and nothing else after? Do I just rinse with water and use a glass cleaner? Or do I use a general purpose cleaner(fantastik etc..) after the naptha? Thanks.

The naptha will remove rainx but it will NOT remove scratched in lines from wipers. Search for glass polishing threads and you`ll find what you need :)

I clay my windshields, then use a glass polish or fine abrasive. My side windows I coat with Zaino Z2.

Puter is right, for sealants use Guess My Name`s advise. If it`s wiper marks in the glass that`s a whole different story. If the wiper marks are really bad you will probably need a rotary buffer and compound to remove them, even then you must be very careful not to distort the glass.

Let the lighter fluid sit for a while then wipe up and rinse....then I wash again with a wet MF or fave glass cleaner....This is how to remove RAINX, sealants etc from glass and works well.....

If the glass is not scratched, I`d use #000 steel wool and glass polish from Autoglym. But those mineral spirits will work fine too.
