Rough day yesterday and this morning.......

First, last night, I just finished using, Meguiars show car glaze, then Souveran..... clean up time, took the white pad off of my PC, it was pretty much a dark brown, I figured it was just dirt that the inital wash didn`t get, brought it to the kitchen sink, rinsed it out a bunch of times, nothing was coming off, left the hot water running on it, ran out to the garage to throw my towels in the washing maching, cleaned up some of the supplies, went to go wind the hose back up, I start hearing "Tink tink tink tink", I thought to myself, "is the hose leaking????" :nixweiss OH NO!!!!! I LEFT THE DAMN SINK RUNNING!!!!! So I run into my house and sure enough, I just flooded out the kitchen and the main hallway..... uggh.... So, I broke out the shop vac (12 gal 5hp) ended up filling it up twice... worked wonderfully, good thing I just bought it last weekend.

This morning..... finally went outside to go to work, looked all over my car...... wonderful... Tree sap everywhere, I then learned what happened to the PC pad. Yup tree sap. Sat through work all disappointed. Finally got home and QD`d it. YAY all gone.

Anyway, here are the pics.....

man, nothing beats the shine of a fresh coat of carnuaba wax. I love the look of it on black in the sunset!

I like the Jap spec headlights, they are a nice clean mod.

What`s the motor specs man? :) Ever think of turbo? Is it manual or auto?

Thanks for the compliments guys. :)

-Dcopp: I too like the sideskirts, a lot, but for some reason, the clean lines of the car without them are really growing on me. The only thing at this point that I wish I had off of the SE`s and LE`s are the 5-lug hubs. Well that and the LSD option. But I definitely know what you are saying about the side skirts. Coilover`s are planned, so as for the drop, soon enough.

-Joed1228: They are the factory headlights on the 97-98 240sx`s, the Japanese and European lights have the projectors spaced out a little further. The 97-98`s are pretty rare, a little under 6,000 were imported to the United States, possibly even North America, I am not positive which. So you really don`t see them on your everyday commute. It`s a nice feeling driving it, especially coming from having a Civic, where everywhere you look, you see another civic and everywhere you park, you expect it to be the last time you see it.

As for the 240, it`s RWD with 155hp @ 5600 RPM, 160 lb-ft @ 4400 RPM are the stock numbers. Nothing too impresive, especially for such a big 4 cylinder (2.4). It is a 5 Speed. Right now, all I have done to it is, Suspension Techniques Sway bars, a front upper strut brace, a Short Shifter and an ACT street clutch. The clutch is awesome, even with the sub par power I can chirp into 4th gear during hard acceleration. Cosmetically all I have right now is a Fiber Images carbon fiber hood. (I had rock chips all over my stock hood, NY roads are covered with pebbles and sand. :( Well I can also use the excuse that I am trying to balance the car`s weight distribution (55/45) which is pretty impressive. I am going to be concentrating on the suspension (and detailing of course) for the time being and I will be going with a full coilover setup sometime shortly. It is an amazingly fun car to drive with incredible handling already, I cannot imagine how much better it will be with the coilovers.

As for the turbo plans.... for two more years, I have a warranty on the car itself, so I really don`t want to mess with the engine too much, but the setup is being planned and I will probably start gathering parts to get everything ready. But of course, there is always the SR20DET (Silvia engine) swap, which is actually a very easy and direct swap. Parts wouldn`t be readily available for that engine, so I am leaning more towards turboing the stock engine. Hell, if I do happen to break something, engine`s are pretty abundant in the junkyards and can be had for as little as $500, which is a lot better than searching and waiting for parts. All in time.

Sorry for the long post.

Hey NICE RIDE you got there. Very glad to see some pics of 240 on the forum. I`ve always love this car. My bro is very into this car as well. He went through three of them in 3 years and all were SR20 converted. Here are some pix I have in my album. Keep up the good work!
