P21S lawsuit (http://www.tourolaw.edu/2ndCircuit/March00/s99-7389.html)

It seems that the distributor here had legal rights to the name P21S. They went to court and the distributor won. Now, the original P21S maker does not make it for what we know as P21S. Just interesting reading.

Pretty darned interesting. Never heard of this suit before but it`s illuminating.

One thing I noticed is that P21S changed product suppliers in 1992; it`s no longer made by Wack. So I guess P21S could be anything. I wonder how much validity there is to all the talk of German quality and craftsmanship at their website and it`s relationship to what comes in the little jars.

No mention of Oscar Wack or a change of suppliers.

Notice how vague the website is? It never mentions where it`s MADE, only where it originated and that it is meant to be used with German cars (implying it`s made in Germany, but never stated).

SoTex,

You are the official private-eye for Autopia. Hehe, you were on the Zymol case and now you`re on P21S.

It would be interesting to see who started supplying BIS in 1992.

Did you notice that most waxes or carnubas come in 8 oz, packages but P21S comes 6.2 oz package something like 12%less per container

Ok...so is the "new" P21S the good stuff, or has it been compromised by this action???

H

If anyone has used it since `92 and still likes it, I`d guess it`s ok.

Hi all,

here`s the `original` Dr.O.K.Wach Chemie (aka P21S) website :)

Unfortunately it`s all in german.

Thanks for the info Deckard.

Under the P21S part of the website, there doesn`t appear to be any waxes...or any products that look like a wax....just shampoo, restorer & wheel cleaner. There isn`t anything that resembles the paint cleanser either. Hmmm, I wonder if there even WAS a wax and paint cleanser under the P21S label prior to 1992.

Does anybody know when CMA started their Pinnacle Souveran/Paste Glaze & PPCL line? Am I way off base? I mean, c`mon...the two waxes and paint cleansers are practically identical in the way they wipe on and buff out......
