View Full Version : Can Z5 be applied without Z1

05-17-2002, 06:44 PM
I just got Zaino samples of Z5, Z6 and Z7 from some of the wonderful members on this forum, (I love you guys), but I was wondering if Z5 could be applied without the polish lok. I`ve asked some people and I got mixed answers, (I think no) but I just wanted to know what you guys had to say.

Didnt get ZFX huh>?:) I would say no, it will not work as it was made to work with out the Z1 or ZFX......

My understanding is you need to use the Z-1 or ZFX for the initial application, and then every 6 months or 10 coats, whichever comes first. I really don`t have any sample bottles, but if you want to send me one, I`ll return it with some Z-1. I really haven`t used it since ZFX became available.

Ali,

don`t use all that up - I want to try it too.

I might be able to score some Z1 from someone who uses FX now.

you need to use it. It doesn`t get the shine without it. What the heck is it anyway? I haven`t heard of any other manufacturer with a similar process..... it smells like a solvent but I don`t understand the "science" behind it.

Upon initial applications always start with Z1, or ZFX if you have that. Z1 is mainly an activator for the Zaino polishes. As soon as you apply Z2 or Z5 over the Z1, it begins the bonding and activating process. It will also tighten up and strengthen the polish system and increase the gloss.

Z1 never really dries on the surface until it comes in contact with the polishes.
