I`ve been thinking about putting some Z on the Weber Genesis; but with internal temperatures reaching 550+ (probably 600+), I`m guessing that the lid isn`t much cooler.

Anyone know the melting point of Zaino? Anyone wax (I use that term loosely) their gas grill?

Thanks...

Ask Zaino.

I bet your grill gets plenty hot plus isn`t the paint a flat paint???

Actually, the lid and control panel are porcelain-enameled; therefore quite shiny...

I just thunk of something.....

get the grill hot...i mean really hot and then get some of those teflon products and test for bonding with high heat!:D

Man this could be a great experiment!!!

GMN, hehehe, maybe there is a use for Teflon after all!

Seriously though, I believe the melting point of Zaino is several hundred degrees, likely somewhere between 250 and 400. To get an exact figure, your best bet would be to email Mr Zaino and ask.

Keep a lookout though, I believe Zaino is working on a polish that is designed to be used on very hot surfaces and withstand very high temps.
