I have a question about my spring detail:

I am applying Zaino to a 4 year old car that I bought in December. The paint looks like it is in pretty good condition. I am going to use Zaino for the final step. I planned on washing with Dawn, claying, wash again with Zaino wash, PPCL, wash, then 3m SMR or FI II, then Zaino. I was thinking...do I really need to include the PPCL step if I`m going to use SMR or FI II? I would think at this point it might be a wasted step? Any thoughts? :nixweiss Thanks.

Skip the PPCL step. I`d do FI2 then SMR and evaluate. 4 year old paint can use some work unless its in terrific condition.

Wash after the SMR or FI 2 to eliminate the oils. They could interfere with Zaino`s ability to bond.
