Unless you just washed it what I pick up from discussion is probably not... Most seem to agree here that if you use QD when your car is not freshly washed it will be dangerous since the dirt may scratch your cars finish.

if you jusst washed the car the only reason to CD is if you are applying another layer of zaino.

The Z6 helps the layer of zaino you are about to apply bond to the previous layer better.

others know the reason in detail Im too tired to look it up

I QD after every wash, I use a meguiars QD and it makes quite a difference. After a wash and dry, feel the panel, mine was smooth and clean. I applied the QD and buffed out with a MF towel and it was noticably smoother and had less friction. In my eyes that translates into a cleaner car, and as far as waxing goes the cleaner the car before you start the better it will turn out. Just use a QD that doesnt contain alot of oils or fillers.

QDing before waxing is a great way to lock in that high

gloss shine in the carnauba world.

1- Wash

2- QD

3- Wax

Final Inspection contains no silicones or wax.

A wax session will definitely benefit from a QD spray prior to application.....but only when you aren`t planning on using a glaze or paint cleanser first.

Ok, so you`re saying that if I clay, use meguiars #9, #7, #20, and #26, I shouldnt need to put any QD down? Or would I, and if so I assume between 20 and 26 right?

You`re correct. Since you are prepping the paint with #9 and #7, there is no need for QD`ing before the polymer sealant and wax. That is, of course, if the paint stays free of dust.

Some people also like QD`ing after the wax for added slickness.
