This may be of interest to fellow UK people. I have read alot about the PC and it sounds very good, however I had not been able to find a 240V model you could get in the UK. I have however just found this place (link below). These sound the same as the PC`s in the USA, but are they expensive of what. Any other UK people found any better.

wow - 250 pounds thats over $360 for a PC - wow. There is some other retailers in the UK, from the PC homepage, I have had no luck and I dont like dealing with firms that operate from a PO Box number. I wonder how much it would cost to ship one from the USA?

Thanks Justin, that would be great :)

The CMA PC is $179 which works out at roughly 120 pounds which is a long way off 350 pounds - it cannot be <strong class=`bbc`>that[/b] heavy.

Yep, and I can get it locally for $120-ish after tax. :)

I`m not carrying a 350-lb PC to the post office though :p

Can`t you get a 220V to 120V power converter?

I dont think a 110/240 volt converter would be hard to buy. $120 is around 80GB pounds plus shipping.

Justin, what do you mean you cannot carry 350lbs, aren`t you something like 6"4 tall, 350lbs should be easy :D

In the original box but with no polishing pads in the box, my PC weighed 6lbs 3.8 oz and would cost a bit more than $27 to ship, with a 4-6 week arrival time.

Here are the shipping options (`http://ircalc.usps.gov/speed.asp?Country=Great+Britain+and+Northern+Irela nd&Pounds=6&Ounces=4&cmdSubmit=Continue&Contents=1`)

LMK if there is anything I can do to help out!

Or you can send me a MO to order a PC (7336SP) ( www.coastaltool.com ) for $120 or so, pads from CMA ( www.properautocare.com ) for $71 and I can add anything else you want in the box. $191 for PC and pad kit. Shipping $38.00 for 4-7 day or $44.75 for 2-3 days, IMHO well worth it since it costs $27 for 4-6 weeks, which is 21-42 days! thats close to a month. $11 extra you get it in a week or less, and on another $8.75 and you get it in half a week.

So $191 with 4-7 day shipping is total to $229 (insurance extra.) Much cheaper than 350 pounds and you get more pads and such.

Plus NYC is closer to the UK than CA and CMA and coastaltool are closer to me, and I don`t think there will be tax, I didn`t get charged tax for my PC from coastaltool and CMA last year.....

Jason (and my Zaino distributer is close so if you want for an extra $83, z-2, z-5, z-6, Z-7, Z-14, ZFX, and a bottle of the blue dawn.)

EDIT: $121 for PC from coastaltool $6 shipping (ground) with 1 business day for shipping, order Sunday night, get it tuesday/wednesday. I am investing $40 for the sanding kit (5 inch sanding backing plate for my 7424, 25 pack of each 60, 80, and 150 grit sand paper.)

Guys,

I bought a PC 7336 (I think thats right!) from Coastal Tools in the US. Cost $119 plus about $40 shipping.

A 240/110V adaptor for about £30 from Maplin.

Works like a dream, and at least its the same tool as everyone uses on here, so getting tips on how to use it etc is no problem.
