Well me and joed1228 just got an assignment from a good friend of mine over on a mercedes forum to detail his mercedes and prep it for his car show. He picked me because he was so impressed with this picture

That is after about 5 layers of klasse SG. We plan on buffing the whole car to get most the swirls out, it is a 2000 model that has never been waxed. However the hood and some front end panels have been painted a few days ago, so we wondering if we could use klasse SG on those fresh painted areas. I was thinking to just use a glaze like meguiars #7 on it, but I posted here to get some opinions on what you guys think. Here is a picture of the truck.

The hood almost looks pre zainoed, Zaino gives the fresh painted look I guess.

I would let the paint cure for 30-60 days depending on what the body shop said before applying the Klasse.

You could use the meguiars body shop products like the glaze though for the show.

Zaino can be used on fresh paint right? If so why can`t SG be used on it, I would use Zaino on it but I dont have any so SG is our only choice, or #7 glaze. Can I carnuba it at least?

Why can zaino be used on fresh paint? Does it seal the paint in and prevent it from curing?

Sealant like Z and Klasse can`t be use on repaints that have not been "baked".

<strong class=`bbc`>Sealant like Z and Klasse can`t be use on repaints that have not been "baked". [/b]</blockquote>Did you mean to say that they can`t be used within (1-3 months depending on your opinion) of a non-baked paintjob? :)

Hmmm... basically it is recommended not to use anything (well, maybe QD or IHG) on freshly painted, not "baked" surfaces.

However, the ML55 hood he put on might have been pre-painted with an oven before installation.
