how do you know when its time to replace it? how often do you guys replace yours?..thanx

Well I cut my bar into four sections. I just throw each one away when I see it is dirty... no real standard, just whenever it is gunked up with dirt.

If you`re using a gold colored bar, it will gradually turn from gold colored to tan, then brown as it loads up with contaminants.
As it does, you`ll notice it takes longer to completely remove contaminants from a section of paint, and the clay will not readily adhere to your hand.
That`s when it`s time to replace.
For all practical matters, though, you`ll probably drop it on the ground before then......
