IM Having my 87 GN fully restored and have bought some new "polished " rims. They look great ( Torque thrust II`s, )by American racing.

I`ve been told that keeping polished rims looking good is tough.

The car will never see rain or snow and only be driven as a sunday driver.

Any helpful tips?

Should i use special "polished rim cleaner/sealer"?

How about a good rim spray cleaner?

Will they tarnish?

Thanks for any info

If the car doesn`t see rain or snow it will be easier but the job itself will still be tough. Use a good polish like mother mags/chrome polish or NeverDul.

Anything polished is hard to take care of.

The best polish I`ve found is the Luster Pad, by Luster Care Products (http://www.properautocare.com/lusterpad.html (`http://www.properautocare.com/lusterpad.html`)). I used it to keep my Kinesis wheels polished. Their Sealant (http://www.properautocare.com/lussealmetse.html (`http://www.properautocare.com/lussealmetse.html`)) keeps them polished longer, which was a blessing from me, since I live near the ocean.

Ive used Meguiars , Mothers , Luster Lace / Pad, and Wenol.

Luster Lace is the better. They all do well, Luster Pad seems

to bring out a better shine..
