Pc ??????

I was messing around with my new PC to remove some swirls and scratches on my car and was wondering if I was using it properly. I was using Meguiars #9 2.0 SMR and worked it in pretty good. My question is how long should I continue working the product into the finish. I tried to do it until a haze developed but that seemed to take forever.



I started off at setting #2 and eventually worked up to #5. Was I doing things properly???

I`m outside right now using my rotary on my truck hood with the same product you are using.



I start it off around 1000 RPMs and work it up to 1500 towards the end. I work the product in until it is almost gone. If it is taking a long time for you, then you might be applying too much product.

Rotary RPMS and Orbital OPMs should not be matched / compared.

You can run the PC at 4-5 with SMR using a white or grey foam pad. The higher speed will generate a little bit of heat and seems to buff out better. It should buff out until there is almost no residue. Buff off remaining residue with a MF towel.
