I plan to use Medallion Paint Cleaner (with PC) prior to Zaino on my wife`s Accord. Question: What should I use in between these two products?

Dawn? #9 then Dawn? P21s polish then Dawn?

The car is light beige, with minor water spotting and swirling. I

own all the aforementioned products.

Thanks for your thoughts! :)

Use your Mediallion to clean the paint, then Dawn wash, followed by Zaino. If your going to try and get some swirls out, you can do that after the Mediallion with 3M SMR or Meguiars SMR 2.0, and then go to the Dawn wash and Zaino.

Prior to starting the Z process do a dawn wash for proper bonding.

Check to see if claying is required by doing the baggy test.

Will the Medallion Cleaner leave any haze, or a "dull" finish? That was my concern, and why I thought I might need a polish afterward.

I forgot about claying... I plan to clay also. Should I clay before or after the Medallion?

I`ve never had a problem with the Mediallion hazing. It leaves a smooth mildly slick finish, and almost gives the paint a polished look. I used to follow with Show Car Glaze and Mediallion Paint Protectant.

When I switched to Zaino, I clayed, used 3M SMR, washed with Dawn, and then Zaino.

If your going to clay, I don`t know that the Mediallion is all that important. You could substitute a swirl remover there and be fine.

alan - depends upon your paint and color. medallion does leave visible swirls in my black Porsche - it is pretty aggressive.
