What is best applicator to use to apply 3M SMR on a car with light swirl marks? I want the product to be effective and work optimally too. Terry cloth aplicaors, Microfiber aplicators, Foam applicators? Are there any additional tips or info I should know about this too? Thanks!!!

The Microfiber applicators grab a bit to much for me . I like the terry`s if your doing it by hand.

Do you think I will be able to remove the light swirls by hand with 3M SMR , or do I need to use the PC polisher?

SMR can be used by hand, but it will take a loooooong time. The PC is a better choice for abrasives.

I did mine with a PC and had to do it twice. 1st with the white pad which didn`t get them out ,2nd with the yellow pad which worked better. My swirls weren`t that bad. Your arm will be tired doing it by hand.

I tend to fall in the camp of foam applicator users. But then again there are several here who only use microfiber or terry applicators.
