im looking at getting a nice high speed polish done this summer. any detailers in toronto that wanna hook me up with a deal? :P or at least any recommended detailers? i will be calling around to the detailing shops in my area also. what kinds of questions should i be asking?

while im at it, i will look at getting the car repainted in a few years. ive heard bad things about maaco (they quoted me 1200$ cdn for a paintjob `exactly like mine now`). are they as bad as people say? again, recommendations would be great.

thanks in advance!

You get what you pay for. Maaco does have some decent franchisees but a lot of them do quick and cheap work. Ask a lot of people before making a decision. Go to a local show or cruise and ask some of the participants. Make sure they are supported by a good paint manufacturer, Dupont, PPG, Sikkens etc.

Where exactly in Toronto do you live? I`m 30mi from Buffalo but I might be able to make a trip up there, it`s not that bad of a drive as long as the QEW isn`t backed up to Mississauga. If you can, post some pics of your car and I`ll get you a quote.

As for the paint job, stay away from Maaco. Unless you have a 82 Escort, I wouldn`t go near them. I know a car guy who has family in Canada who are also car people, next time I see him I`ll ask him if he can find out who`s a good painter.

Hi crappo,

I`m in Mississauga, and would be most willing to hook up with you and detail your vehicle!

What vehicle do you have? What time do you have? Can you come to me, or would you like me to come to you?

Gimme the details (no pun)! I would like to help you!

i drive a 98 nissan maxima. dark green. plenty of scratches on the paint... but i have no money right now, which is why im looking into polish rather than paint. it should help hide the scratches right?

shotime: im in richmond hill... naw if you live in buffalo i wouldnt want you to come all the way up here, its too much trouble. thanks though. as for the paint job, that would be really good. thanks!

f1guy: awesome! do you own a shop? i wouldnt mind going down to sauga. sent you a pm! :cool
