Yes I have decided to replace the stock speakers. I will be installing Blaupunkt 6 1/2" components I found pretty cheap online. I also order the speaker connectors from Crutchfield so I can convert back easily if need be.

I decided not to replace the head unit since it works with my Onstar and they advise not replacing.

Who else has replaced stock speakers and do you notice the improvement?

PS I love farting around with my truck and I figure I will apply some wax behind the door panels since I am a detailing nut!

I just replaced my stock ford speakers with some Kenwood 3 ways from Crutchfield. I didn`t change the stereo. And i can tell a big diffrence.

Well, I have to change mine because I blew the rears cranking Xzibit a hair too much. Therefore, I am looking at Eclipse 83941 3 Way 6x9s for the rear deck and some Eclipse 5 1/4" for the fronts.

Well today I will be receiving my new speakers and installing them. Yahooooooo.

I love tinkering.

Think I will clean behind the door panels while I do it.

Got a whole bunch of stuff just waiting to be installed. My installer does some wild stuff. Here`s a pic of a trunk from a 2001 Acura 3.2CL he did.

I`m not getting anything wild like that. Here`s my list

Helix Precision HXA-500QS 5 channel amp
CDT Audio HD63DT-S 6.5` coaxs
CDT Audio MS-100 sub in an Element Enclosure
Cap
All hidden neatly in the trunk (Stealth)

Done!

And sounds great & worth it.

I suggest all change factory speakers at least Chevy`s!
