As an optometrist, I know that keeping your hands clean is of vital importance. There`s no way I can approach a patient with stained fingers and dirty nails. So, I found a great way to keep clean while detailing, without wearing the requisite gloves.

What I do is rub some GoJo or Permatex waterless hand cleaner gel well into my skin and nails before I go to work. Take your time and it`ll feel like it isn`t even there. It gets in the pores and all the tight spots that are hard to get clean after you`re all gunked up. When you clean up later, it`s like you never got dirty at all.

I found it especially helpful after an oil change. It is also ideal before any type of spray painting or working with extra tough paints like anti-fouling marine paint and epoxy paints.

Hope this helps!
