How come every can, bottle, or whatever container of car wax, polish, sealant etc says the following:

"Apply in circular motions"

Yet we all know to do in straight motions to minimize swirls. Are these companies lacking skills or what?

I guess it is a pet peeve of mine.

what do you expect MB, on the back of the Turtle Wax bottle it says, "Apply a small amount of Turtle Wax to a clean car...."

They`re wrong about the Turtle Wax part right off the bat, so it`s not suprising that they say other wrong stuff, haha :D

Not every bottle of car care stuff I run across says this.

I see it mostly on consumer products and typical x-mart type products.

Applying in circular motions results in a more even application.

This will not cause swirls if you are in a sanctuary likes Brad B.`s, with a clean applicator pad, and a pure wax like Pinnacle, Blitz, or a sealant like Klasse SG/Z2. And removeing with a really really soft towel like a Charisma or MT.

But thats in a perfect world, most people do not have a `sanctuary` like Brad`s.

C`mon do most people know about swirl marks?? Go ask the people browsing around the car care section of a store; Do you know what a swirl mark on the finish of your car is?
