I recently purchased a Honda Element and I am having a hard time polishing the plastic body panels. What are some good products out there for these body panels?

:yeah

I would apply and then use a soft brush to lightly scrub...then buff off thoroughly with a cotton towel to prevent any streaking after it rains:)

Thanks for the info. When i waxed the painted surfaces I got some wax on the plastic body, it turned white and has been difficult to remove. I will give the Poorboy a try.

I would highly recommend using Stoner Trim Shine for these body panels.

You could use WD40 and a soft bristle nylon brush to remove the white residue.

Just spray some WD40 on the brush and gently scrub the affected areas. Follow-up by washing your Honda in order to remove any of the remaining WD40.

I echo this statement... I have been using trim shine on the plastic cladding of my Jeep Grand Cherokee and it makes it look nice.

For the edge where the paint meets the plastic, I use a foam staining brush (availble at any hardware store). I spray the trim shine in the edge of the foam brush, then apply.

Try taping the plastic edge where it meets the paint with 3M painters masking tape the next time you wax the Element.

A few minutes of taping saves hours of aggravation!

I use mothers back to black for some small plastic trim pieces
