Which `kind` of microfibers would be best for drying ONR?
A weave-waffle MF like:

Or a `plush-style` MF:

Both, WW for initial wipe and MF for final wipe.

I don`t like WW towels. I prefer plush for ONR washes.
I prefer the Microfiber Madness Incredipad to wash with ONR and the Microfiber Madness Dry Me Crazy for drying.

I tried both in damp condition. I prefer to use my WW towels (easier to release water)
FYI - my plush MF towel is 1400 GSM.. I think its way over kill for drying

I wash with plush and dry with waffle weave. Then I hit the car with detail spray and a plush towel.

I have had very poor results with waffle weave towels in the Pacific Northwest. Plush work much better in cold and humid environments. (cold and humid at the same time ie: not freezing. Like a perfect 45 degree day with 40 days of rain in a row... Utopia!)

Interesting observation. I use plush for ONR, but I onlyl use it in the cold months when the outside faucets aren`t available. I may be seeing the same thing you are - without recognizing it!

I always use an old cut up pair jeans for ONR.... I really find that one of Rons old T shirts does great on water as well!

Kidding btw, WW followed by Plush for wipe down
