“Safely clean delicate Alcantara upholsteryRestores Alcantara`s suede textureSafe and effective on all carpet and upholsteryEasy- to-use formula

SONAX Upholstery & Alcantara Cleaner is a brand new formulation developed especially for vehicles with Alcantara seats and accessories. SONAX Upholstery & Alcantara Cleaner will restore the original feel and texture of matted alcanatra while removing soiling and grime. It is also safe and effective on carpets, textiles & standard upholstered seating and interior surfaces.

Alcantara is one of the most delicate surfaces used in vehicle interiors. Body oil, grease, dirt and use will quickly matte Alcanatra, ruining its texture and feel. SONAX Upholstery & Alcantara Cleaner penetrates deep into the soiled and matted surface and lifts the dirt, freeing the fibers and restoring the feel, look and appearance.”

Packaging/Labeling: It comes in a slender, tall-ish bottle. It kind of reminds me of an anorexic michelob ultra bottle. The bottle fits well in your hand and it has a pump at the top. Bottle also comes with a plastic top.

The subject:
The “alcantara-suede-ish” fabric on the flat surfaces of the seats in my 2009 Challenger SRT. Stains courtesy of my dog riding shotgun before I was smart enough to cover the seat and general spills from wonderful passengers in my vehicle all happening over the past five plus years of ownership.

I was always weary of what to clean this fabric with. Now I know it’s not real alcantara suede but I was delighted to see this product a little while ago on the new products list on acc’s website and added it to my order on the last sale.

Use:

After a good shake I gave it a pump and it produces a nice thin foam that I chose to spread out with a soft nail brush. I used four pumps total to cover the larger area of the seat and two pumps to get the small area on the front of the seat.

I could hear the foam cleaning action working as it fizzed after touching the surface. Once worked in I let it sit for about three minutes. The manufacturer recommends 5-10 minutes but on my test spot I only let the product sit about two or three minutes and the results were pretty good so that is what I went with for a dwell time before scrubbing. I scrubbed the areas with the nail brush .

this is about the only 50/50 type shot I took

Next I took a clean mf towel and wiped down the surface. then vacuumed it to make it look pretty while it was drying.

I let it sit the rest of the afternoon and dry. After it dried there are still some slight areas that did not completely come clean but the results are pretty good if you ask me.

Observations:
From my one time experience with this product I will have to say that this product lived up to manufacturer claims and personally it exceeded my expectations. I could hear the product still fizzing even after it had disappeared into the fabric after being spread and scrubbed with a soft nail brush.
I have tried to clean these seats with steam before but that didn’t work. Once I saw this product I had to give it a try and am glad that I purchased it.

I used probably about 10% of the solution on just the passenger seat. I would imagine a whole bottle could clean probably clean about 10 or more seats the size of mine. That is just an estimate and depending on how much you actually had to use per seat you should be able to make it last further.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for this type of cleaner.

Thanks for reading.

Thank you. I have now tried three of their products, full effect of course, their matte dash cleaner (which is awesome as well) and now this product which I dont really see myself a whole lot but like you said these materials or similar types are being used more and more now.

Great review !!!!

Thanks. I had to show these results off. I think everyone in my car club wants this stuff now because they all have the same issues with their seats.
