I`m getting the 5" BP for DA and 3 x Orange 5.5" CCS and 3 x White 5.5" CCS

What pads do I use with the 3" BP for DA? 4" CCS

I`m assuming a 2 pack of Orange and White is enough.

I like the 3.5" backing plate with the 4" ccs pads better. I have the 3" BP too, but never use it unless I pick up some 3" pads down the road. Feel like I don`t have the stability/control with the 3" vs. the 3.5" with 4" pads.

With a 3 inch backing plate, you can use 4 inch pads, but it does give you a pretty big (percentage wise) overhang. It still works well, and does give you the versatility to use smaller (3 inch) pads...

If you want to use 4 inch pads only, then a 3 1/2 backing plate will give you more performance.

Meguiars makes 4" spot buff pads, and the velcro backing fits pretty well on a 3" plate without to much overlap, due to their design...

I use the 4" Meg`s pads a lot. As Todd mentioned, there is quite a bit of overhang, since the pads are cupped to fit a 3" BP. It reduces their effectiveness, but also gives you an ample foam barrier around the BP for tight spots.

Thanks. Went with 4" CCS. See how it goes.
