will probably have a paying detail this saturday. co worker. 2010 jeep liberity. took a quick look at it. not too bad. i am thinking a AIO. inside/engine etc i dont know yet. this will be done all BY HAND. i am thinking blackfire P & S or collinite 845 or just a good wash and prima hydro seal/max or bf crystal seal. i told him i really cant throw you out a price till i know more of really how far you want to take it and how much you want done. been forever since i did one for cash. i dont want to cheat myself or overprice him. when i get a better grip of what he wants, i`ll post it so i can get a better idea of what to charge. the outside will be a AIO tho, for sure.

You charge based on how long it will take you..and sort of what the going rates are in your area.

That`s not a big vehicle and if your not going for a near perfect finish (paint) I`d be in the 200 to 250 range...but again this is also predicated on what other shops are getting in your area

Libertys and Jeeps in general are a pain.
The plastic on them is very unforgiving. (and the decals)
Get anything on the plastic and you`ll never get it off

So make sure you tape or take your time
price accordingly

I would charge $400 for one of those. I many not get many, but that`s fine with me. Better than discounting it and suffering the consequences.

If it`s gonna be a "quickie" , I might suggest
BF TPnS on paint and then BFCS on whole car, plastics, decals etc
or
PB PWS on paint then BFCS on whole thing

Good luck

i agree...charge what you feel is justified- dont sell yourself short- you will regret it

i`ll give you my example for what its worth....i started off doing foam wash, clay,AIO or wax [by hand], and optiseal along with interior detail that covered everything except for hot water carpet extraction (no extractor yet)

It was me and 1 helper and we were spending up to 4 hours on a vehicle and charging 120 for a job i felt was worth around the 150 range.
we got our foot in the door and as word spread we were able to charge what we felt justified doing so

the $30 doesn`t seem like much of a difference but if you look at it in terms of work time, its like doing another basic wash without having to actually do it

take my opinion for what its worth but just make sure you charge what you feel your service is worth and you will be able to determine pretty quickly whether or not that price is justifiable

I met a guy here Atlanta that is getting 450 for a full detail. Seems very expensive to mean. I am charging anywhere from 150 to 200 bucks.

450 for 8-12 hours of work sounds about right.

would everyone with a shiny car please tell their representatives that we need a longer deer hunting season. They are a real nuisance around here.
