I`ve been browsing through DetailCity for a few days now, and there`s a lot of info here! I am a novice when it comes to PC usage. I am planning on buying a 7336sp from Lowe`s in a couple of weeks, though.

But, I am confused when it comes to Pad and Backing Plate sizes. I can`t decide between:

6" Backing Plate + 7.5" LakeCountry Concave Pads
5" Backing Plate + 6.5" Meguiar`s Pads

Both combos will work, I`m sure, but I only want to buy one. I will be using the PC on a couple of SUVs, only. I`m not planning on doing this on other`s cars. I just want to Polish and Wax my vehicles.

Is the 7.5" too big for easy use? In my mind, bigger is always better - Is this true with PCs?

Thanks for any input!

I use the 7.5 pads and really like them. I vote in that direction.

If I could only have one pad combo, I would also choose the 7.5" curved edge pads with the 6" backing plate.
