I don`t know about everyone else, but it kills me to clean out the vacuum filter at the end of the day. And it seems like right after you do it it just gets clogged back up again. You loose suction power, your carpets don`t get cleaned as good, and you loose time and energy trying to get it right. You could always take the filter off, but eventually hair will get stuck near the motor and eventually clog that too and bogg the vacuum down.

I found a nice little way to stop all that. Imagine having full suction all day every day 24/7. What`s the catch might you ask? Well the catch is, if you`re a showroom detailer that has his own shop, this might not be a good idea. But for a mobile detailer this can be a blessing and I will tell you why here in a minute. I`m not saying I`m a genius, I do not have my head up my butt, I am just a lazy guy that is sick and tired of cleaning out vacuum filters and I want to help anyone that is as sick of it as I am.

Now lets talk about the filter, here`s what I did...

I took out the filter, and you can run a vacuum successfully without the filter for a little while before hair will get caught up in the motor and will eventually cause the vacuum to malfuntion. So that`s where the window screening comes in, I took some of that, and wrapped it around where the old filter used to be.

Problem solved, you will have full vacuuming power all day long. Which means less stress on the motor, plus a more cooler vacuuming motor since more air can pass through now, which in the long run means, a longer lasting vacuum. No hair will clog the motor up, and when it gets clogged, all you have to do is unclog it. It only takes me about 10 seconds to unclog it. Now here is where the catch comes in. Dust will blow out the other end, so make sure the butt end of the vacuum is facing away from the car, and it`s better to wash the car after you`ve vacuumed. For a detail shop, this might be a problem. For a mobile detailer, it helps tremendously! I have full suction 24/7. And also too, when I do empty the vacuum out, I notice the debris is more sandy instead of dusty, which is also a plus.

Nice little mod, what bout putting that screen material on over the regular filter? Would help with all the dusting that blows out the exhaust ...

That`s a good idea, but the whole reason I made it that way is to do away with the filter. Maybe the filter might fit on the exhaust? Now that would be a winner

In the long run it can save money, now how easy is it for you to take of off? I.E, using it as a wet vac? Do we even have to worry about it anymore?
