I keep getting water going in certain directions on the windshield, during after a rain there are makes that look like the windshield is cracked. Hit the wipers and it clears. Same when washing

Tried to polish it today with DP coating polish on white pad/flex, no luck, then went to PB Pro Polish on white pad/flex. Still there.

If I had some old Bon Ami, or bar keepers friend, I would have tried that too...

Ideas?

ron, i`ve had some windshields with some type of polymer on it that nothing short of a real cerium oxide base glass polish could remove. most paint polishes are not hard and fine enough to truly polish glass and some "glass polishes" are really chemical cleaners. try CarPro Ceriglass Glass Polish 150 ml (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/carpro-ceriglass-glass-polish.html) , a real glass polishing pad and bear down. glass is a lot harder than most people think.

I have not tried Ceriglass to remove in glass defects but it does clean glass better than others stuff I have tried. It has a long work time if you just spritz more water. Rotary is recommended for swirl marks but not gone that far yet.

If it`s residue of some sort, Extreme Clean may erase it.

This really seems like some sort of residue of something they sprayed on car.

Driving me crazy

Ron,

I have used the Gtechnig glass polish to clean up some glass prior to sealing and it worked great.
