Its been awhile since I posted but have been busy with moving back to Tampa from WV. Its good to be back In FL and get a garage again!

My brother in-law has a 2005 Accord with 130k miles. The headlights are the original and have been oxidized pretty badly.

Process, wet sanded with 2000 grit then 2500. Had a small wool pad on hand so I decided to try that with M105 and then tangerine/cyan pads with m205. Topped off with 2 coats of BFCS. Car got washed and it got a third coat of BFCS the next day. The headlights took about one hour total with both of us wet sanding.

I forgot to take pics before starting the process. But snapped a few of the final steps.

Dried after sanding

Not bad for my first time cleaning up some headlights.

Feel free to ask questions and enjoy.

Awesome! Just my 2003 accord headlights a couple weeks ago with 145k miles. I used similar process with 1500/2000/3000, then m105 on orange LC pad. Still had a few dull spots so going to run through the process one more time and finish with m205 or megs UC and then hit it with the BFCS. I think its more gratifying doing this process than just buying a kit...especially since I already had all the products and just needed to buy some sandpaper.

Nice job. Now you need to top it with Opti Lens so that your hard work won`t yellow in a few months.

Can you just do opti-coat or is there a difference in opti-lens and opti-coat?

Opti Lens was made for headlights..heavy amounts of UV protection.
