I forgot how I got here. Not important. What`s important is that I found my favorite forum! This place is guiding me towards my goal of starting my own detail business. I`ve read so much the past few weeks it makes me wanna get out there now. I do have a test subject...98 Lincoln Navigator. Has sat outside for over a year at my father in laws repair shop. Previous owner couldn`t pay the tab and I am the new owner. The interior is so bad. Its gray and the carpet is so dirty it looks black. I wanna see if I can save the interior in my own driveway and learn the right way. The outside needs minor body work but I`m not worried. My first thing is to see what I can do about the interior and see what the forum teaches me. I did see some write ups on here I`m gonna go over. I`ll post pictures tomorrow if time permits. Don`t puke or laugh much. It was a free car and well, a project. LOL.

Dear Brandon

Welcome!

I`m in Buford and have a ton of stuff you can try for free.

Come see my inexpensive electric washer and foam cannon in action.

Pay attention to that mjlinane. That man creates a virtual swimming pool in every body panel he touches.

Welcome to the forum! I am also new here.

You will be amazed at not only the level of expertise here but especially the willingness of the detailing masters to freely give guidance and help.

BOL with your "project."

Regards,
Tom

Welcome to AutopiaForums!

I am just an amateur detailer myself. I have done interior that was that bad that never needed scrubbing like that. The only thing I can suggest is steam cleaning it.

I think you can save it, with the professional carpet extractor and a lot of patience. You will probably have to extract it several times over the next few weeks as I would imagine there is a lot of ground in dirt that will come to the surface.

yeah its not my daily driver yet. i have some mechanic minor stuff to do first but getting the carpet looking better is def. a main priority so i have some time and patience to work with it
