There is probably a thread on this somewhere but my question is....I spent quite a bit of time cleaning the engine bay with a good APC and am now looking for something that I can spray in there that will add some shine, last a reasonable time and not something that is real greasy that will gather dust This is just a 4.3 V-6, hardly any chrome....I just want it to look nice :)

Appreciate any suggestions

Any dressing should work fine. I will sometimes use tire foam on engines because most of it has a little cleaning abilty, and it will work into places thats otherwise hard to reach. Naturally you have to spend some time wiping everything down, but it does work well.

I`ve had good results with Gunk Engine Shine and CD-2 Engine Detailer.
For the hoses etc. I like using Vinylex. It has a nice look & is water based.

I get mine at either Advanced Auto parts or Autozone locally.

Another vote for CD2. If you can`t find it 303 does a nice job as well.

CD-2 on the engine. Vinylex on the hoses. Quick, easy & does a nice job.

Sonus motor and trim Kote blows them all away. Looks great, last many months and dries to the touch!!

I`ve always used tire shine. Seems to work pretty good..

How is the dust attraction with this?

Ive always been a fan of meg hyper, but it does seem to attract the dust.

Ive always been a fan of meg hyper, but it does seem to attract the dust.

It dries, so it is unlike tire dressings that stay somewhat wet and hold dust.
