My Dewalt 849 has died. I bought her refurbished in Spring of 2001 and she has performed like a champ until this past week. I have a back-up 849, and I am looking to get my original repaired. Anyone know of where I could get it repaired??? I am located in NJ, but I will send it out if needed.

BTW... Trying to buy a used on off ebay has been a nightmare !!! Used with no warranty (average $140-$200).

Clean Dean if you are looking to buy new you should checkout coastaltool.com. i bought my DW 849 for $159.00 new and after shipping it was $166.50. cheaper than any e bay deal i could find on a NEW buffer.

Dean, why won`t you use the opportunity and buy you a Makita. I heared that it was on you "cristmas" list. And that you can share the results with us.
