I bought a 2013 camaro in black. After lurking here and over at camaro5 I`ve come to the conclusion that rapid fire is probably the easiest and best level of protection as the car is my daily driver.

My only concern is that I got the white Euro Foam Applicator and, after feeling it, wonder if its too course for my new car. There are some minor swirls from the dealership and thought TPnS would be the best at hand covering/correcting them.

So, should I get the red applicator or a wax applicator?

Congratulations on the new Camaro and the best of luck in the future!

Swirls and similar defects come standard from the dealer at no charge. They will charge you to remove them but I`d suggest you remove them yourself as you`ll gain knowledge and experience as well as personal satisfaction.

I tested BlackFire`s Total Polish & Seal and posted a review here (http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums/detailing-product-reviews/39102-blackfire-total-polish-seal.html)...

I strongly recommend adding a dual action polisher to your arsenal as there`s no better way to remove swirls, surface defects, and applying sealants and most waxes. It`s next to impossible to damage the paint and they are very user friendly...

your white applicator should work just fine with the bftpns. applied by hand, your finish will definitely look much better than before, but it will not come close to the results you will get with a good da polisher.
i`m with bobby, a good da polisher will be the best investment you can make. whenever you have the funds go for it. you won`t regret getting one.:bigups

Welcome ! Personally, I would start with a LC black pad on the black paint to see how that works especially if by hand.

I have had a black car for the past 15 years and you will not regret getting a polisher. In fact, you will then wonder why you waited so long. Do realize that if you are like most of the posters here, your family will begin to think you are nuts as you chase perfect paint.

Although secretly they will envy the shine and wish their car look half as good.

The obsession has begun! I was a bit sad when the detail spray arrived this morning because it meant that I wasnt waiting for anything else...

I`ve been debating in my head whether to get a Griots or a 7424 I`m just trying to spread out the purchases so my wife doesn`t think I`ve go so crazy so fast!
