The customer of this big truck is part of the coast guard. Originally from Ohio he loves trucks and had wanted this truck since he first saw it years ago. When it arrived I was talking to him about the truck and we decided on a 2 step correction followed by Opti Coat. The truck is always outside right now because he lives on base so we wanted some serious protection. We planned for 2 days but it actually took 4 I had some temp problems with applying OC so had to wait on a warmer day(Chris@Optima told you could do in the cold temp but I tried a test spot and wasn`t feeling super confident so I waited).

Wash was pretty standard 2x2 method using citrus wash.

Decon was done with Iron-X and 3m perfect it clay.

Paint was corrected using BF SRC Compound/Finishing with my Dewalt 849x and a combination of CCS constant pressure pads Orange/white.

LSP was OC 2.0

Not any before pics its a 2012 with 12k miles on it wasn`t bad shape. Just swirls and some RIDS. This truck had some pretty hard paint though I was a little surprised.

This was my test on the right one pass with SRC Compound made quick work of most the defects.

When polishing the flares on a truck like this I suggest taping the line above the flare so you don`t hit the flat part with side of your pad.

Have I told you guys how much I love SRC Finishing polish? I basicly did the whole truck with it and only had to use SRC Compound in a few places where the rids were bad!
