Hi There...

They are calling for temps to be at 8C (47F) and sunny for the weekend here. Is that to cold to apply a winter coat of wax? Most likely BFMS.

Below 40 is too cold IMO.

I`m spoiled in Cali. If its below 54 I dont come out of the house so that makes it to clod to apply wax.

there`s a guy here from colo. that waxes in pretty cold temps. i`d say 40 degrees would be the lowest i`d go.

Hah! I love all the Florida comments.... because they are true. Today it was 60 degrees and I stayed indoors almost all day because it was too cold outside lmao!

Sorry OP, got no beneficial answer here. Anything below 60 is too cold for me!

My limit is about 45. At that temp I might consider applying in the sun, as long as the surface is still not too warm to the touch. The cold can cause the wax to spread thicker and take a lot longer to dry. BFMS, however would be a good choice since it is a wipe-on, wipe-off wax.

I don`t think the OP wants to know personal tolerance levels for weather, but a technical answer or weather affecting the product. Just sayin......that being said, I like 70 to 75F. :rofl

Surface temp should be lukewarm to your touch.

BTW, I wouldn`t waste BFMS on a winter coat. It won`t last long.

I use Collinite for winter waxing.

40 degrees is my threshold

I would say 50 deg. then I will break out the heaters to heat the garage for the wax. Im not sure what the bonding temp would be for wax is but around 60-75 deg I would think ideal.

It is 40* out here right now and I just got done doing a coat of Sonus Acylic Glanz. And I`m working in jeans and a T-shirt outside.

Well today was one of the most beautiful day I can remember for this late in November. It was beautiful and sunny and temp got up to 10C (50F). Went out around 10:00 and rinseless wash both cars with BFWDRW. Wheels and tires done and tires finished with PERL. Clean all glass and had just enough time to get a coat of wax BFMS on the wifes`s car. Tomorrow they are calling for exact same weather as today so I will get my car done.

By the way, at that temperature BFMS was great to work with.
