The chronology of the photos will be kind of odd on this one, I originally did the correction ~20 months ago, whereas the `after` shots were taken ~6 months ago during a follow up detail. Bear with me on this one.

The car is an `04 996 Turbo tiptronic with ~12k miles on it. Its been hot rodded up a little bit and pushes the envelope at a hair over 500HP (such a blast to drive!). The front bumper had been repainted at some point, and if memory serves correctly the rear bumper had been repainted as well.

The owner is a good client and friend of mine, and he takes great care of his vehicles. They are all very clean, always. But he may only put 1,000 miles on the car in a year! I shame him for it continually.

The light carbon staining on the tips was quickly handled with P21S polishing soap.

I can`t remember specifically what I used for the correction... odds are good that it was M105/M205. Compounding with a rotary/LC orange and polishing with DA/LC tangerine. Sealed with Wet Diamond, topped up with Midnight Sun.

He contacted me earlier this year to do a photoshoot of it as he was planning to sell it to try and find one in white over black with a real stick in it. I called up another buddy of mine who was wondering about getting some photos done and we set it up one evening.

He sold it a few months back, and it now resides with a dentist in NC. It was a fun car, and always a pleasure to work on.

I thought about holding a mirror up to the paint, but I was afraid the world would end.
