This is my first post on here so hello :P What tips would you give me on working with this Nighthawk black pearl paint, from what I know the paint is soft. Products on hand so far are M105, M205 and 845 oh and Makita Rotary. for M205 I have 5.5" white flat pads 845 I will do by hand but for compounding I only have wool pads..will that be too harsh?

So far my plan is to start with M205 see how much difference I can do with that, spot M105 where it`s needed... This car is pretty bad btw.

M105 works well with orange pads. Wool will work fine with it but it will be very aggressive and your going to find yourself chasing swirls for hours. I`d say pick up a few 5.5 orange pads and do a full 105/205 combo.

I agree the orange pads/105 would be the best thing to do but I don`t have the money for the pads right now. How many pads should I get and what pads do you suggest? Is 3 pads good for polishing? of course I will be cleaning them as I go

You could get away with 1 if you dont mind stopping to clean it often.
