Has the formula for blackfire changed or is it the same as the proper auto care days?

Yes. The line was re-formulated and released earlier this year. Even better!

What are the differences in the two formulas?

I think Todd described it as even more of the super-polymers.

"Loaded to the gills" was his technical description, I believe.

All of the BLACKFIRE products have been updated/upgraded.

Some products like Wet Diamond All Finish Paint Protection and Midnight Sun Carnauba wax may have received slight updates (high quality more pure ingredients for example). The biggest difference with Wet Diamond AFPP is many people have reported less dusting (those that had dusting issues previously). But they, for the most part, the same exact recipe, just better ingredients (some of the upgrades are proprietary). We knew better than to mess with success.

Some products, like the former Deep Gloss Spray Sealant (detail spray), became more focused and received a name change. DGSS because Wet Diamond Polymer Spray to better reflect its more focused role as a spray sealant (higher polymer load).

We also released a ton of new products built around the Wet Diamond Polymer System. Wet Diamond Waterless Wash, Wet Diamond Rinseless Wash, Wet Diamond Conditioning Shampoo, Crystal Seal.

The tire care line is all new and under the label "Total Eclipse" which features an all new cleaner and two new water based dressings.

We kept the good stuff the same (only better) and brought the rest of the line up standard while maintaining a great value.
