I`m considering signing up with Charge America so I can take credit cards in my counseling business.

I like the idea of being able to call in a charge from anywhere, even from my cell phone and it sounds like this is a good deal but I`m not very business savvy.

Has anyone used them and what has your experience been?

I appreciate your help!

Jim, the discount rate is rather high but then again they are right that other company rates do go up with the additional fees charged. Discount rates are usually set by your estimated volume of credit card transactions. The pluses are no monthly fees, no minimum transaction fees, no addtional equipment needed, no setup fees and no yearly contracts.

Perhaps you should give it a try and see how it works for you. Pay close attention to your statements and check when monies are actually transfered to your account. Good luck.

Additionally, check with the Better Business Bureau for any complaints.

Actually you may want to check with you current bank, some banks have programs where you can just call the bank and do the same thing, and their fee`s are much less because you have bank account with them already. They may even be able to supply you with a card reader and other stuff too if you like.

Jim, I have been using Charge America for approximately 7 months now and you can`t beat it - especially being mobile. http://www.chargeamerica.com/?11309

Thanks guys.......After checking it out pretty well I think I`ll give it a try. With no fee to quit why not?....as long as it`s secure.
