Hopefully it makes my day a little easier. It`s supposed to be battery powered, 120 mph winds, which I wasn`t too sure about at first but after trying it out, it proved to be pretty powerful. Can`t wait to wash a car again :cool:

I have been using a leaf blower for years. I have a Sears 220 mph one that is electric powered. It does a great job but lately I have had my eye on the Metro Master Blaster.

Yeah that master blaster looks like it does some damage, but $300? It better be ready to make me breakfast and bring it to me in bed!

I use one in my shop for years. Its nice but too loud and after awhile I think Im going to lose my hearing from using it.
Just have to justify the cost of the MetroVac Master Blaster somehow, and that is probably the Ultimate car dryer, next to a wind tunnel :)
Perhaps all the rock concerts at Fillmore West are now catching up ?? Grateful Dead used to put up a huge, huge, wall of speakers and amplifiers - all McIntosh - and the sound was absolutely beautiful and clear. You didnt just hear it, you felt it going through you! I am sure that all this stuff didnt help my ears either, but boy, was it worth it !!!!!!! :):):)

I also purchased an electric garden blower & I "hair-blowernap" my wife`s gadget. Nice to dry up the interiors of the Tundra after I pass a damp cloth in it. It also works to soften decal from vehicles, blow dry engine compartments & much more. Every guy must own his own hair blowdrier. lol.

I think just about everyone uses one after they see how quickly you can dry a car without touching it....:bigups
I have an electric Troy-Bilt that I picked up at Lowe`s a couple years ago for about $50 or $60 and it works great without causing me to go deaf.....

How loud is it? I saw it on TV and thought a battery powered blower would be pretty nice since there is no cord

It does put out some noise, I`d say about as much noise as a vacuum cleaner.

I also switched over to that drying method quite some time ago. In my case a gas powered Echo leaf blower is used. It`s slightly heavier than the electric types but I don`t have to deal with an extension cord so it`s well worth it to me.

Test a cordless blower first. I bought one about a year ago. Not enough force to dry the car effectively, but it gets the bulk of the water off so my towel doesn`t get saturated, and it`s great for blowing out crevices, emblems, etc. I found it on Craigslist for $15 used, so I figured if it didn`t work I wasn`t out much.

I use one of these (see photo below). It`s part of my Ridgid vac. The motor pops out and becomes a blower that I attach a 20" hose to and put the blower nozel on the end.

I have a Black and Decker I use around the house for cleaning off driveway and front and back porch. I bought a spare battery also, Use it on the car around the hood, mirrors, wheels. Then out comes the micro fibers towels...

I ordered a master blaster when it was on sale last week. After seeing AG and Autopia-Carcare put it on sale I couldn`t pass it up.
I looked at a leaf blower but I think the hose from the master blaster will be easier to maneuver.

Just picked up the metro blaster to replace my leaf blower. Must easier to blow out wheels and tight areas. I got the dual motor blaster and I am very happy. You will need to upgreade your electricity as I kept blowing the breaker.
