My client with the 57 Chevy (seen here: http://www.autopiaforums.com/forums/detailers-showcase/37444-57-chevy-convertible-31hr-correction-immaculate-reflections.html), asked me to do his daily driver. He didn`t want a full correction on this one, but did want to cut down on some of the swirls and bring the luster back to the paint.

With only 1 day to get this one done before he hit the road again for the next week, time was of the essence. The sheer size of this vehicle made a wash/clay/correction/sealant/interior detail quite the undertaking for one day. Owner requested I use the King Ranch brand leather cleaner and conditioner for the special leather on this truck. The majority of the truck had heavy water spotting which was especially bad on the glass. The clear was definitely on the hard side and took a while to find a combination that gave acceptable results. Correction was a combination of Megs MF cutting pad, M105/D300 and LC cyan with M105. Final polishing with M205 on LC white. Approximately 80% correction was achieved. LSP was Zaino Z5pro x2.

Total time was 14 hours, non-stop. Lunch and dinner were both sandwiches....1 bite then back to work. No time to stop to eat. No sun pictures upon completion as it was nearly 1am when I was driving away.

This deep scratch was about 90% removed during the paint correction. The remainder was too deep to remove.

14 hours seems like nothing considering the before VS after pic`s. You kicked that King where it counts.....Looks great.

Wow that looks so much better. That it is a ton of real-estate to cover for three passes of correction. :bigups:yourrock

Great job! Not sure if I could do that much work for 14 hours non stop. If I did, I am sure my back would be hurting badly.

Great turnaround. I hate that color of leather though. I like coated leather better. I`d be too afraid to touch that rawhide.
