Every aspect of a detail, big or small, plays a critical role in defining a proper detail. You would never restore just one headlight or clean just one leather seat because if you`re detailing a vehicle to begin with, you`re obviously interested in doing it the right way. Whether you`re getting paid to detail someone else`s vehicle or if you`re simply doing your own on a sunny Sunday afternoon, you`re well aware that every aspect of a detail plays a critical role in achieving the end result; perfection.

I live in southern Florida where it`s sunny year round so I see lots of shiny SUVs with glossy tires and sparkling rims. One detail that`s often overlooked is the wheel wells. Most SUVs have a lot of ground clearance which means they generally have a huge gap from the tire to the wheel well. A commonly asked question is how to properly care for this part of the vehicle and what products to use.

Like many other aspects of detailing, Griot`s Garage has you covered with a product they manufacture called Undercarriage Spray. This particular product is designed to dress wheel wells and other undercarriage components and should be a must-have for anyone that owns an SUV or details one on a regular basis. For all that it does, Undercarriage Spray couldn`t possibly be any easier to use. Spray on, and walk away.

That sure did darken the wheel wells!

I have always used a MF applicator to dress wheel wells. But can you just spray this product on and walk away? Or do you have to wipe with MF towel?

I have used this for years. It is a great product. You can spray it and walk or buff down.

My favorite under carriage dressing. I have been using it for years as well. It`s a staple for me for my garage queens and car shows.

Used this stuff all the time until I ran out. I would use it for underneath the car when I did car shows. It always looked great and I would wipe it with a rag and it was a nice finish.

Did you just spray and walk away? On my Dakota, these sprays are a must especially when the wells are metal but have not been able to get that uniformity you got. The coating in my wheels is not in the best condition though. It works just not as well when you look up close.

Most everything I have used it on has been very clean. 90% of the time I buff it down. It does result in more even coverage. Metal with plastic liners look great when clean and applied. I think it does have some cleaning properties because missed spots clean right up. We`ve driven from Ohio to Wisconsin for a show and it was the only thing besides disposable MFs I had to re-clean the wheelwells after a spray off.

Ill have to try this one. Ive used Megs ASD, CG bare bones, not impressed with bare bones. I think megs hyperdressing lasts longer and is more economical.

I liked Griot`s Garage Undercarriage Spray while I had it. Just spray and walk away. But I did find it to be a little to oily for my taste. It tended to attract dust and dirt...

Wow that looks great, the more I read about Griots the more I want to try their products. I just picked up pre wax cleaner and some wheel brushes
