Hello everyone! Just wanted to introduce myself, :yay.

My name is Chris, I live just outside of Jackson, MS. A little history: I have lived here my entire life and have spent many years trying to earn a reputation as a guy that you can count on. I worked for several Auto dealers here locally while growing up, just washing cars and things of that nature. I graduated High School in 2003 and started a Mobile Detail business in hopes to keep from getting any student loans while paying for my own college! Well I managed to complete that goal in 2009. I received a degree in ITS (Information Technology Services). I currently work for a Hospital IT department, but still have my passion for detailing.

Not knowing much about paint correction or true detailing, I started to research, learn, try products and test them on my own vehicles and friends vehicles that were less that presentable! I settled in with a company who currently fulfills my needs as a hobby detailer. I have moved on from the friends and family system, and branched out to word of mouth just on the nights and weekends. So far it has been great as a side hobby that pays for itself.

I eventually plan to open a shop when I can apply 110% of my time and effort into it! Don`t ever plan on going half way with anything. Thanks for reading and hope to gain some knowledge and also tell you guys tons of things you already know but just so you can make fun of the newb haha:roflPics will follow of some of my work!

Welcome to AutopiaForums Chris, glad to see got your education first ( very important these days ) and now back into the detailing scene. You found a great place to ask any questions and also we have a great "How To" (http://www.autopia-carcare.com/how-to.html) section for everyone to read up on. I`ll be looking forward in seeing some of your work now and in the future also. :welcome:

Welcome to AF. I started out not knowing much but after reading and asking questions I`ve learned a lot. Plus a detailer in the area helped me with technique and small stuff that you just learn by doing.

If you have ably questions feel free to ask. Everyone here is very helpful

Not a long drive, but the stretch on I-20 is a total nightmare (I-20/I-55 Loop, who the eff designed that?). Been to Jackson once to pick-up my truck at Joe Usry after they got it from Auction. Been to Brandon and Morton several times, though. If you`re ever up visiting relatives hit me up.
