Written this thread to share with you how a detail/restoration process!

IMPORTANT NOTE
You dont need to goes thru this process if you prevented it!
Eg. "from the start" " at the begining" when your new car was delivered or after repainted -
All you need to do is a simple regiment of maintenance wash - best to do it yourself (preventing road side car wash - as most done by foam sponges & coarse MF (worn out) worse still rags!!!

In Malaysia almost every car wash introduce waxing by rotary , YOU DONT NEED TO GET YOUR PAINT polish wax for protection esp new car! as each time is polish - a layer of clear coat is scrap away!!!

as most paint (clear coat) damaged is done so subtlely by our weekly wash

Today patient

just repainted 2 months ago -

after wash -we clayed using ONR as lube simply diluting 10ml with 500ml water (making it as the cheapest QD only 60 cents)

ta da - very nice reflection picture indeed

but dont be fooled by the hidden light

look at the differences of light – Flourecenes No differences
But Halogen – the sun immitating light – TADA it out

A china make rotary & 2inch foam pad & rubbing compound

* what happens now! When an inconsistent speed rotary use for polish and pressure applies, speed goes way off the course - some slow down & others just over rated speed - polishing product is either under or over broken down, will causes micro marring
When polishing with inaccurate speed rotary & high foam pad = heat builts up quickly, cut more than it is suppose to. Heat is what we must prevent!! least under the sun!
Lastly when AD rubbing compound is use on a high speed undependable rotary & thick pad...volcano results produce

Our Clear coat is as thick a news paper or cigarette wrapper & if it is just 50% cut/polish away it will be endangered species (permanent damaged)

Confucius once says "Knowing oneself & knowing your enemy - you can win one war"

Just a couple of years ago, when i started detailing
I was introduce to a 4 steps paint correction
start with wool pad then cutting foam pad then polishing foam & finish off with finishing foam
thats means I need to cut 4 times of the paint to get it leveled up. Thats lots of paint cut away

Now I gave him to try! briefly explain and showed him the right way with just 2 steps/product - cutting & polishing
ta da off he goes again

MAKITA M 9227 - a machine that can last a life time (prehaps a life time investment)
with the phenomenal combination of Optimum Red foam / wool pad & OPT Hyper spray compound OHSC & polish OHSP, where it is formulated base on 2 most powerful combination " AD aka abrasive diminishing + SMAT "small micro abrasive technology" ! Making it one of the most advance in this era

do u know whayt i am trying to scribbles

SECRET Step of Rotary ! the encrypted code
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-gQ79RkSmYNQ/Trc9vUT-vTI/AAAAAAAADXo/VQ8uqcgTIX4/s800/DSCF9894.JPG

it doesnt takes an alien nor transformer to do so
all you need is
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XW9PMDDRVkU/Trc9z6VAZZI/AAAAAAAADXs/7a2NVgY6Io4/s800/1.jpg

know how your rotary is design and rotate clock wise - dont goes against it
Always start from left to right - from top to bottom
Place yr pad on the furthest left glide till the furthest right, glide till the end and down it goes 1/2 pass on the 1st pass! Continue the rest till the bottom & repeat the 2nd /3rd - simply by gradual speed increase
Eg... for polishing
start with the lowest speed - for makita speed 1 then gradually moves up to speed 2 & stay at speed 2 & back down to speed 1

DON`T
Don`t use pressure!! as it heavy enough!! it is design to use speed & product dependence! always follow the recommended speed of the manufacture!!
Under the sun! when the surface is hot

LIGHTNINGS
why lighting play a crucial part in detailing!! Imagine photography is all about lighting, try to shoot some thing that is in dark, nothing turn out nicely

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-nwyNGxItKog/Trc92_q9bwI/AAAAAAAADXw/Y4Db6BPLNeQ/s800/DSCF9904.JPG
No problem looking

is there any different? Hardly.... but under a proper light -
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Z89QTTZLr3I/Trc97Qi7REI/AAAAAAAADX0/PHj1D1E61NQ/s800/DSCF9903.JPG
look again
micro marring & scratches appears ( are the not there in the above picture????) as they are well hidden in most car park lighting.....HALOGEN inmitates the sun without the heat, need to avoid while polishing – Thanks to halogen!!! what you dont see in others – now is shown.

The best it is still inspect under the SUN!!! esp a black car after a detail!!!

Recommended – a preventive maintainance (as it is so easy – by the owner himself)
a weekly wash – only requires 25 mins with ONR / 1 hours with shampoo
a Monthly wax – only requires 10 Mins with OCWax – 2/3 hours other wax
a 3 Monthly sealing – only 15 minutes to seals entire exterior car, paint, vynl, head lamp, plastic, bumper and most of all the glass

Avoid
Road side wash
wash when yr car when is not hot
Not under the SUN
waxing with rotary

just if I combine adidas + nike + airasia says
impossible is nothing, Just do it, cos everyone can detail

For it only takes a little patience and plenty of passion
