Just curious what the current hot products are to protect and beautify rubber/soft plastic trim and seals...

My standard is Gummi Phledge. Someone on a car forum who happens to be (I believe) a hydrocarbon chemist swears by Krytox, even though it`s ridiculously expensive (used to protect rubber seals and o-rings in the technology/space/medicial field).

So...what do you think works the best? Looks and longlasting protection are the criteria.

thanks,
Andrew

I prep first with the Griot rubber cleaner and then use the Gummi Phledge. I used to use 303 but it did not seem to hold for very long on the seals. I have heard that the Gummi Phledge sold ten years ago was better than the stuff we buy today. I believe three different manufacturers make it now Wurth, Einzett and I forget the third. I`m not sure that they are all the same stuff.

I have used 303; Megs #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner / Conditioner; and 1Z Einszett Gummi Pflege Stick with good results. I like the Megs #40 because it is a cleaner and conditioner, but it can be a little messy to use same as the 303. 1Z Gummi Pflege is by far the cleanest to apply but when using it I want to make sure I have washed the seals clean of dirt.

I also have Meg #40. I actually use it on the interior of my wife`s Rubicon. It does a decent job but it smells terrible!!!
