Maybe I used too coarse of a sponge, but in the right light you can see where it is not smooth. In places, it would look like icing on a cake put on with a butter knife if I had a 10x loupe. Any fix that`s not too agressive?

Can you clarify please.

Is this after you buffed it out?

I hear some use a bit of hot breath and blow on the areas and then buff off.

....lumpy after hand buffing with a Microfiber sheet. I next used a damp cotton towel. I even tried a 3M foam buffing pad...and then a polarfleece mit on a Waxmaster that had recently done Meguiar`s Mirror Glaze so there was some pink dust on the pad.

It`s shiny enough - just, up real close or when the light hits right, it looks like a clearcoat that coagulated because it was shot too cold.

That may be an issue. I wonder what the low end of the temp range is? It was maybe low 50`s.

Thanks for your help.

Sounds like factory orange peel to me, not a by-product of the Klasse application (but I could easily be misunderstanding your description).

How about a picture to help us picture what you are describing.

Sounds like the first coat was put on too heavy. Did you use All In One first? I would try another very thin coat ; if that doesn`t work, apply AIO and start over.

It sounds like a way too thick coat to me too.

I would try AIO like described above.

There`s no orange peel. I`m pretty familar with that. This is a 2001 Mercedes paint job that was clay-bar`d and super clean to start.

I guess I underestimated the tenacity of this product. I have another similar solution packaged/sold to the aviation market as SUPER GLAZE which purports to do the same job. It`s clearly much thinner.

I`ll do a little testing to see what pulls it off....on another paint job first! If I find anything interesting I`ll let youall know. Thanks again for the input.

If the paint was super clean, and smooth - then a lump could only be left by applying waaaaaay too much AIO or SG to the surface. That stuff`s supposed to go on so thin, you`re not even supposed to have a lump`s worth on the applicator before you start!

are you talking AIO or SG?

If you`re having problems applying to much AIO then you can wet out and wring your applicator, it`ll help you to apply less AIO. Apply with a medium pressure in back and forth motions.

hope that helps some - good luck

Since we have multiple threads on this new system, I have created a new sub-forum for the new Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction system.
Additionally, I moved all the threads on this system over to the new sub-forum.
Anyone else who was a beta-tester on this new system, and who wishes to start a thread with their results, please start your thread in the new sub-forum.
Just trying to make sure things are easily found, and managed.

Great idea.
I logged onto TID last night and all of a sudden saw all these new reviews on this new system. It seems like there is enough interest in this new system, that a sub section would make a lot of sense.:hurray:

Maybe it has already been listed and I missed it but how soon can we expect to see PAC listing the new m/f system ?
